Joe Corcoran Licking Election Wounds

Corcoran lost Upper Macungie supervisor race to incumbent Kathy Rader

said he's licking his wounds Wednesday following a landslide election loss to incumbent in the race for an Upper Macungie Townshipseat.

Tuesday's , which are unofficial until certified by the county's Board of Electors, showed Rader, showed the incumbent ahead by a 67 percent to 33 percent margin.

"I'm appreciative of the people who voted for me," Corcoran said. "It wasn't our year. We were up against a smoothly operated, well controlled and well financed campaign."

Corcoran said it was too early to tell whether he would consider another run for an open seat in the township.
