Breinigsville Man Threatened With Deportation, Police Say

Upper Macungie Police say a 28-year-old Breinigsville man was threatened with deportation if he did not buy close to $3,000 in gift cards.

Upper Macungie Police are investigating an alleged phone threat received by a Breinigsville man Tuesday (Sept. 10).

Police say the 28-year-old man received a telephone call instructing him to purchase $2,984 worth of Visa gift cards.

The caller said the man would be deported if he did not purchase the gift cards.

Police did not say what the caller wanted the man to do with the gift cards.
