'Hell's Kitchen' Chef Jessica Gets Kicked Off

Jessica Lewis, a Parkland High School graduate, gets eliminated Tuesday from Chef Gordon Ramsay's 'Hell's Kitchen.'

Chef Gordon Ramsay eliminated Jessica Lewis from South Whitehall Tuesday at the end of the seventh episode of "Hell's Kitchen."

"When Jessica first arrived I had high expectations for her," Ramsay said as viewers watched Lewis hang up her chef coat at the end of the show.

Indeed, saving her from elimination and complimenting her dishes.

Lewis, 26, who lives in Brooklyn now, didn't give so much as a hint at last week's viewing party held in her honor at Roma Ristorante at what her fate would be. She had nothing but high praise for Ramsay.

"Jessica, watching you on service is like deadpan, no response. You have this blank stare," Ramsay said as Lewis stood with three other contestants nominated for elimination.

"Why do you think you should stay on 'Hell's Kitchen?'"

"Chef, I'm not done here. It wasn't my best performance. I have so much more to prove and I have so much more to give," Lewis said.

Ramsay said she trashed more fish than she served.

"During this experience, I tried to stay very confident and very strong and that came across as not passionate and that sucks," Lewis said during her departing interview on camera.

"I guess I just didn't put enough fight for Chef Ramsay to believe in me," she added.

Ramsay told the remaining contestants: "Only the passionate will survive."

On television, that is.
