When is The First Day of School in Upper Macungie?

The calendar still says July, but parents should know about these key school dates coming up in the Parkland School District.

Of course, the calendar still reads July and families are smack in the middle of enjoying summer vacations.

But, back-to-school commercials hawking new clothes are already being shown on TV and that time of year is really just around the corner.

So, even though you are most likely still heading to the beach and pool, soaking up those rays of summer, here are some important things to know when it comes to the Parkland School District's 2013-14 calendar.

  • First Day of School: Tuesday, Sept. 3
  • First Day of Fall Sports Practice: Monday, Aug. 12
  • Kindergarten Orientation Sessions: Wednesday, Aug. 28 and Thursday, Aug. 29.
