Early Childhood Music Program Launched in Parkland District
The program, for children 12 months to 5 years old, is being launched by a Springhouse Middle School teacher.
The Parkland School District is launching an Early Childhood Music Program for children 12 months to 5 years. The program is being launched by Springhouse Middle School music teacher Alaina Prall for the Parkland community. The 10-week First Steps in Music curriculum was designed by Dr. John Feierabend, an early childhood music specialist. Children and parents participate in the classes together, learning songs, rhymes, and movement activities. No musical experience is necessary. My first post mentioned that it was most likely that neither one of you had kids in middle school. You would have been able to relate to the frustration! Neither one came back and refuted it...I am not clairvoyant! Also, you would have realized that it has been a year of hell for a lot of these kids and teachers who are trying to keep up.
