Upper Macungie's New Police Cars: A Sneak Peak

Upper Macungie's new police department goes into service New Years Eve with 20 vehicles, most new, that will be equipped with computers.

Upper Macungie's new police cars are silver, with a strip of blue, and sport the department's new logo and patch.  The new department, which will have 28 officers, goes into service at 6 p.m. on New Years Eve.  Upper Macungie Police Chief Edgardo A. Colón said the department will have 20 cars, 12 of which are new. The cars will be equipped with computers. Until the new department goes into service, Upper Macungie is served by the Berks-Lehigh Regional Police force.
