Man Injured in Accident at Ambassador Drive and Mill Road

A man was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Upper Macungie shortly before noon Thursday, police said.

  A New Tripoli man was injured in a two-vehicle crash shortly before noon Thursday in Upper Macungie, police said. William Whitney Jr. was transported to a hospital for injuries to his lower body, police said. The accident occurred at 11:59 a.m. at Ambassador Drive and Mill Road. According to police, Sergey Vitavskiy of Waukesha, WI, traveling west on Ambassador Drive, drove through a stop sign. Whitney, who was traveling south on Mill Road, struck the vehicle. Vitavskiy was cited for running the stop sign and equipment violations. The intersection was closed for about an hour.

Two Injured in 5-Vehicle Crash in Upper Macungie

The following information was supplied by Upper Macungie Police.

  Two people were injured in a five-vehicle crash Friday morning on Hamilton Boulevard in Upper Macungie, police said. Hamilton Boulvevard was closed for an extended period of time while crews cleared the roadway. Taken to a hospital were the drivers of two of the vehicles, Alison Patchoski of Blandon and Francis Young Jr. of Mohnton, police said. Both towns are in Berks County. The accident happened at 7:03 a.m. on Hamilton Boulevard at Newtown Road. According to police, Charles Johnson Jr. of Quarryville was traveling on Hamilton Boulevard when his vehicle struck Patchoski's vehicle, pushing it to the side. Johnson's vehicle continued forward and struck Young's vehicle, pinning it against a vehicle driven by Rene Aponte of Newark, N.J.  …
