Trexlertown Stabbing Case Heads to County Court

Demar Campbell, 28, of Allentown, allegedly stabbed Anesha Byron on Feb. 8 in Trexlertown. The case was forwarded to Lehigh County Court Friday by District Judge Jacob Hammond following a preliminary hearing.

Demar Campbell, a 28-year-old Allentown resident, will face charges in Lehigh County Court in connection with a Feb. 8 stabbing in Trexlertown. District Judge Jacob Hammond, in a preliminary hearing Friday, forwarded charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, possession of an instrument of crime and other charges, according to online court records. Upper Macungie Police were dispatched to 1127 Trexlertown Road on a report of a man and woman arguing in the street near a car on the morning of Feb. 8 at approximately 3:38 a.m. When they arrived, they found Campbell, of 1327 Chew St., and Anesha Byron, 35, sitting in a running 2006 Mercury Mountaineer. I agree, you just can't stab someone because you have a knife, but I've been carrying a folding pocket knife around in my pocket since I was about 8 years old down on the farm, for some 50 years now. I didn't know that it was illegal to carry a pocket knife? I didn't know a pocket knife was considered an instrument of crime.   more ›

Man Stabs Woman in Car in Trexlertown, Police Say

Demar Campbell , 28, of Allentown is charged with aggravated assault and other offenses following an early morning stabbing, police say.

An Allentown man faces multiple charges following an early morning stabbing in a car in front of 1127 Trexlertown Road, according to Upper Macungie Police. Police said they were dispatched to Trexlertown Road on a report of a man and woman arguing in the street near a car. When they arrived at 3:38 a.m. Friday, police said, they found Demar Campbell, 28, of 1327 Chew St., Allentown, and Anesha Byron, 35, sitting in a running 2006 Mercury Mountaineer. Byron was crying. She had been stabbed in the abdomen, police said. According to the arrest affidavit, Byron told police the two had been arguing because she wanted Campbell to take her home and he refused. They had pulled over in the car, police said, and Campbell stabbed Byron with a folding…

Trexlertown Stabbing Under Investigation, Police Say

The incident took place at approximately 3:45 a.m. Friday.

Upper Macungie Township police confirmed that they are currently investigating an early morning stabbing in Trexlertown. Police say the stabbing took place at approximately 3:45 a.m. in the 1100 block of Trexlertown Road. No further information was immediately available. A report on WFMZ said an unidentified man was taken into custody and a woman was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.
