A major winter storm will hit the Northeast and New England today into Saturday and Upper Macungie could get 3 to 5 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service. The worst of the storm will hit tonight with heavy blowing snow expected: The National Weather Service says: "As much as one to two feet of snow is forecast from the New York City metro area to Maine, with localized heavier amounts possible. This, in addition to wind gusts as high as 60-75 mph will create significant impacts to transportation and power. Coastal flooding is also possible from Boston northward." The major impact will be in New England where a nor'easter-type storm could bring blizzard conditions and a foot or two of snow. Here, the National Weather Service predicts 4 to 10 inches of snow; WFMZ predicts 3 to 6 inches for the Lehigh Valley. Another winter storm is on the way and it could make for very messy travel on Friday morning. Snow is expected to start falling after 3 a.m. Thursday in Upper Macungie and surrounding areas, according to the National Weather Service. Snow will be followed by a mix of sleet. freezing rain and rain changing to all rain after 9 a.m. Friday. The precipitation could change back to snow Friday night. Then the storm will clear out leaving sunny skies and a high of 33 degrees on Saturday. WFMZ also says we can expect a wintry mix Thursday night and Friday with some snow accumulation possible.

On Wednesday morning National Weather Service predicted snow will start after 1 p.m. with a daytime snow accumulation of two to four inches possible. New report put accumulation predictions higher than original prediction
It's time to get the snow boots out, folks. According to Lehigh Valley Weather Patrol, the Lehigh Valley can expect between 2 and 6 inches of precipitation in the form of snow and sleet over the weekend. The snow is predicted to begin overnight tonight and continue through Saturday. Weather Underground and Accuweather have similar predictions. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch, in effect until 7 p.m. Saturday. Bobby Martrich and Susan Haberacker are neither but they managed to launch the “Lehigh Valley Weather Patrol with Bobby and Suzy” 11 months ago and have seen it grow by great gusts.
