Construction on three retail establishments -- a multi-unit retail building, a bank and a restaurant -- could begin as early as this summer if submitted plans are accepted later this year by the Upper Macungie Planning Commission. "We're hoping to get construction begun by fall, but it could start as early as summer," said Christopher Falnecki, president of Weiser Engineering Consultants of Wernersville. "I didn't hear anything [Wednesday] night that would indicate otherwise."
