Mama's Italian Grill Is Now Open

The new upscale Italian pizza and eatery opened March 4 in Breinigsville, according to its Facebook page.

Mama's Italian Grill, an upscale pizza restaurant at 1044 Trexlertown Road in Breinigsville, opened its doors for business last Monday, according to its Facebook page. Owners Guiseppe DiFiore and Marcello D'Agostin boast 36 years' experience in the pizza business. The restaurant's hours will be from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m Friday and Saturday. The restaurant will be closed Sundays.

Construction on three retail establishments -- a multi-unit retail building, a bank and a restaurant -- could begin as early as this summer if submitted plans are accepted later this year by the Upper Macungie Planning Commission. "We're hoping to get construction begun by fall, but it could start as early as summer," said Christopher Falnecki, president of Weiser Engineering Consultants of Wernersville. "I didn't hear anything [Wednesday] night that would indicate otherwise." A new upscale brick oven pizza shop is set to open in Breinigsville on March 4. Owners Guiseppe DiFiore and Marcello D'Agostino, who boast 36 years experience in the pizza business, plan to open the doors to Mama's Italian Grill early next month at 1044 S. Trexlertown Road. The pair moved to Pennsylvania in 1984 and currently have locations in Kutztown, Egypt, Slatington and Walnutport. "We've been in the business 36 years," DiFiore said Tuesday. "We're orginally from Italy and landed here in 1976. We got into the pizza business in New York and got experience there. We decided to move to Pennsylvania in 1976."
