Two Unhurt in Monday Bypass Accident

The crash occurred at 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Route 222 and Grim Road.

Upper Macungie Police said two people were unhurt in a rear-end crash at the intersection of Route 222 and Grim Road on Monday evening. Police said a 2009 Dodge Journey driven by Todd Adam, 43, of Kutztown was traveling in the left lane on Route 222 and waiting to turn onto Grim Road. Police said Adam's car was struck by Boris Heimbach, 79, of Bethlehem, who was driving a 2003 Chrysler Sebring. Police said no one was hurt, although both cars were damaged.

Two Escape Injury in Wednesday Crash, Police Say

Upper Macungie Police say the accident took place at the intersection of Mill Road and Ambassador Drive.

Upper Macungie Police said no one was hurt in a Wednesday afternoon accident at the intersection of Mill Road and Ambassador Drive. Police said that a car driven by Steven Thorne of Catasauqua, traveling on Mill Road, swerved to avoid a car driven by Louise Bugbee of Northampton. Police said Thorne's car struck the curb and caused damage to the right rear tire, making it undriveable. Police said there was no contact between the two vehicles and no one was injured.

Hotel Manager Threw Cigarette at Guest, Police Say

Upper Macungie Police say Jessenia Mateo, 35, of Allentown, harassed a guest during a room rate dispute.

Upper Macungie Police say a Best Western hotel manager was cited for harassment Sunday after allegedly throwing a cigarette in the face of a guest during a room rate dispute. Police said Jessenia Mateo, 35, of Allentown was cited for harassment after police responded to a disturbance call at the Best Western Hotel at 5650 Tilghman St. Police say Mateo threw a cigarette in the face of a woman guest during a verbal argument in the hotel lobby. The victim was not injured and refused medical treatment. Police said the citation was issued on the scene. $7,000 In Jewelry Stolen, Police Say

Jewelry was stolen from a 81-year-old woman living at Country Meadows, police say. Also, police are investigating a theft from a vehicle in Breinigsville.

Upper Macungie Police are investigating the theft of $7,000 worth of jewelry from an 81-year-old woman's residence at Country Meadows, at 420 Krocks Road. Police said the theft occurred within the last three months. Information concerning this theft should be forwarded to Upper Macungie Police at 484-611-5911. In addition, police said they are investigating a theft from a vehicle in the 8000 block of Breinig Run Circle. Police said a purse, wallet, gift card and $360 in cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle early Wednesday morning. Police ask anyone with information concerning this case to contact them.

Trailer Stolen From Parking Lot, Police Say

Upper Macungie Police say the theft occurred at Farm Food Transportation on March 1.

Upper Macungie Police say they are investigating the theft of a utility trailer from Farm Food Transportation on March 1. Police say a 2003 utility trailer was taken from Farm Food Transportation, located at 651 Mill Road in Allentown, sometime on March 1. Police ask anyone with information concerning this case to contact them at 484-661-5911. Elsewhere, police said they are also investigating a fraud case that occurred on Feb. 16. Police say Laura Shick, 56, of Breinigsville reported on Feb. 16 that her Discover credit card had been used fraudently several times within a month. Police also ask anyone with information about this case to contact them.

Allentown Man Assaulted Wife, Police Say

A fight between husband and wife started in the Sunset Grille parking lot in Upper Macungie and continued to the couple's Allentown home, police say.

An Allentown man was arrested by Upper Macungie Police early Saturday morning in connection with an alleged fight that began in the parking lot of the Sunset Grille. Police said Daniel Knotts, 38, of Allentown, was charged with simple assault, harassment, unlawful restraint and false imprisonment. Knotts' wife, 31, told Allentown police she was assaulted by her husband and that the incident had begun about 3:15 a.m. in the parking of the Sunset Grille in Upper Macungie, according to a police news release. It continued until the couple arrived at their home in the 700 block of N. Muhlenberg Street in Allentown, the release said. Allentown police contacted Upper Macungie police. Three Thefts From Cars At Same Location, Police Say

The thefts from cars occurred at TriCity Marble in Upper Macungie.

Upper Macungie Police said three thefts from three different vehicles occurred at TriCity Marble, located at 4724 Springside Court. Police said two GPS units were taken from unlocked cars between Feb. 26 and last Monday. Police also said a debit card and small amount of cash was taken from a purse in an unattended car on March 1. In a separate incident, police said no one was injured in a one-car accident Thursday night on Cetronia Road near Schantz Road. Police said Genesis Valentin Peralta of Allentown was driving northeast on Cetronia Road when she lost control and struck a concrete pillar underneath the Interstate 78 underpass. Police said damage was caused to the front and side of the car as a result of the incident.

Stolen Items From Car Recovered, Police Say

The incident took place last month in the Kuhnsville Inn parking lot, police said.

Upper Macungie Police said stolen items belonging to Bobby Fetherolf, 39, of Fogelsville were returned on Feb. 16. Police said the items were stolen from Fetherolf's unlocked vehicle, parked in front of the Kuhnsville Inn at 5475 Memorial Road in Allentown. Police said the items recovered were an Apple iPad, a cellphone charger and a backpack. Police did not say whether there was a suspect in the case. Meanwhile, Upper Macungie police reported no one was hurt in a Monday automobile accident in front of 7350 Tilghman St. Police said the accident occurred at 5:24 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Angela Kukitz, 28, of Fogelsville was struck from behind by Elizabeth Haley, 36, of Whitehall.
