Expect Traffic Delays on Route 22 This Weekend

Beams will be set this weekend on the new Route 145 bridge over Route 22, PennDOT says.

Expect lane restrictions and traffic stoppages this weekend in the area of the Route 22 interchange with Route 145/MacArthur Road, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation says. The restrictions will allow workers to safely set beams for the new bridge over Route 22. According to PennDOT: Motorists are urged to use caution when driving through the work zones. The $13.8 million project, designed to improve traffic flow on Routes 22 and 145, began in May 2012. PennDOT says 87,000 vehicles travel Route 22 each day, while 38,000 vehicles travel Route 145/MacArthur Road every day.
