Large appliances including washers, dryers, refrigerators and stoves will be phased out; stores will continue to stock small appliances. Store Vice Chairman Jim Boscov told the Citizens Voice that there has been an increase in the company's furniture sales -- and from hearing customer feedback, he said he thinks that this is a department that needs more space in stores.
