In the third Lehigh Valley winning ticket of the month, ticket holder won $2 million Powerball with five numbers right -- but not the Powerball -- in Wednesday drawing.
One Powerball ticket worth $2 million from the Oct. 17 drawing was sold at Wegmans in Hanover Township, Northampton County, the Pensylvania Lottery reported today. The ticket correctly matched all five white balls -- 01-07-10-23-42 -- but not the red Powerball 35, and added Power Play, which sets the prize at $2 million, less 25 percent federal withholding. Wegmans will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling this winning ticket. Lottery officials cannot confirm the identity of the winner until the prize is claimed and the ticket is validated. Winner Ricky Robertson of Upper Macungie Township told WFMZ he plans to buy a new house and invest the rest of his winnings. A winning Pennsylvania Cash 5 lottery ticket was sold at the Trexlertown Top Star Monday, making someone in the area a millionaire. The Cash 5 ticket correctly matched all five balls (02-13-20-41-42) in Monday night's drawing, according to www.palottery.com Employees at the Top Star store wouldn't comment on the winning ticket, citing store policy even though the store receives a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ducat.
