Man Who Allegedly Attempted to Rape Real Estate Agent Waives Hearing

Frank A. Yeager waives his right to a preliminary hearing on Friday. Police filed charges after investigating a report from a saleswoman for Pulte Homes in Upper Macungie.

  A 29-year-old man charged with intending to sexually assault real estate agents by allegedly luring them into model homes waived his right to a preliminary hearing Friday, according to online court records. The case moves to Lehigh County Court. Frank A. Yeager, of 111 Hickory Lane, West Rockhill Township, was charged in December after state police at Fogelsville and the former Berks-Lehigh Regional Police department investigated a report by a saleswoman for Pulte Homes in Upper Macungie. Yeager faces charges of one count of criminal attempt rape, two counts of carrying firearms without a license, and one count of possessing instruments of crime, a misdemeanor of the first degree, according to the prepared release. DA: Man Intended to Rape Real Estate Agents

State Police at Fogelsville and Berks-Lehigh Regional Police investigated a report by a saleswoman for Pulte Homes in Upper Macungie. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

  A 29-year-old Bucks County man has been charged with intending to subdue and sexually assault real estate agents by luring them into model homes, according to a release Friday from the Lehigh County District Attorney's office. Frank A. Yeager, of 111 Hickory Lane, West Rockhill Township, was charged Friday after an investigation by State Police at Fogelsville and Berks-Lehigh Regional Police. Police said he took steps toward committing the crimes. Yeager is charged with one count of criminal attempt rape, two counts of carrying firearms without a license, and one count of possessing instruments of crime, a misdemeanor of the first degree, according to the prepared release. Parents Who Took Baby from LVH Charged With Endangering Welfare

April Saul and Daniel Rivera of Pottstown face criminal charges after allegedly taking their seriously ill daughter from Lehigh Valley Hospital without permission, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney's office.

  The parents of a seriously ill infant were charged Wednesday with endangering the welfare of a child for removing their daughter from Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest against medical advice in October, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney's office. April Saul, 42, and Daniel Rivera, 43, of 319 Chestnut St., Apt. 2, Pottstown, were also charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly using obscene language in the pediatric intensive care unit of LVH and engaging in “tumultuous behavior in view of extremely ill children, family and medical persons,” according to a prepared release. Notorious Freeman Brothers Case in Court Today

Lawyers for Bryan and David Freeman of Salisbury Township, who are serving mandatory life sentences for the 1995 beating and slaying of their parents and brother, say the sentences violate their clients' constitutional rights because they were juveniles.

  Nearly three months after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled mandatory life sentences for juvenile offenders are unconstitutional, Bryan and David Freeman of Salisbury Township are challenging their 1995 life sentences for brutally beating and stabbing to death their parents and younger brother when they were teens. The commonwealth of Pennsylvania has filed a motion to stay the Freeman brothers' sentence pending a decision by the state Legislature on how to deal with juveniles convicted of homicide. A hearing will be held today in Lehigh County Court in front of Judge Douglas Reichley. Task Force to Address Elder Abuse Feb. 15

The Lehigh County District Attorney’s Elder Abuse Task Force will make a presentation to Upper Macungie crime watch groups on and give tips for guarding against abuse.

Members of the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Elder Abuse Task Force have scheduled a presentation in Upper Macungie Townships on elder abuse and neglect for crime watch and neighborhood groups. The dates is set for Feb. 15, 2012, at 7 p.m. at the Upper Macungie Township Municipal Building, 8330 Schantz Road. Three members of the Task Force discussed elder abuse and answered questions during a Nov. 9, 2011, PowerPoint presentation to the Upper Saucon Township Crime Watch Group. Police: Brothers Took Myriad of Items in Upper Macungie Burglaries

The following information was contained in an arrest affidavit filed with District Judge David Howells or supplied by the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Two brothers charged in a five-county burglary spree primarily allegedly took cash and other items from a gas station, two dry cleaners, several restaurants and other businesses in Upper Macungie from Jan. 9, 2010 to Dec. 18 2010. Brothers George Washington, 28, and Angel Miguel Vargas, 30, who lived at 318 N. Second St., Allentown, have been charged in more than 100 burglaries over 15 months. The charges were announced last week by Lehigh County District Attorney James B. Martin. Two Brothers Charged in Burglary Spree That Hit Upper Macungie

Two Allentown brothers have been charged in more than 100 burglaries and attempted burglaries of businesses in a five-county area over 15 months, including businesses in South Whitehall.  George Washington, 28, and Angel Miguel Vargas, 30, who lived at 318 N. Second St., Allentown, were charged after an investigation that involved searches of vehicles and residences where the men were believed to have lived when the burglaries occurred, according to a release from the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office.
