Two Hurt in Route 222 Bypass Crash, Police Say

Upper Macungie Police said two people were hurt in a Monday morning accident at the intersection of the Route 222 bypass and Mill Creek Road. One of the vehicles rolled over after impact, but the driver was able to free himself.

Upper Macungie Police said two people were injured in a Monday morning car accident at the intersection of the Route 222 bypass and Mill Creek Road. Police said a car driven by Philomena Holler, 75, of Allentown was traveling southbound on the Route 222 bypass and turning left on to Mill Creek Road when it struck the passenger side of a a car driven by Jarrad Schantzenberger, 18, of Macungie. Police said Schantzenberg's car overturned upon impact, however, he was able to exit the vehicle under his own power. The accident occurred at approximately 10:35 a.m., police said. Both drivers were taken to the hospital with Holler complaining of chest pain and Schantzenberger suffering from arm pain, police said. Police said both vehicles sustained…

Don - Agreed. In addition, I see residents in our neighborhoods driving like that on our local streets. Additional enforcement is required. Another reason for all the carnage is the large tractor-trailer population due to over building.   more ›

Two Injured In Route 100 Crash, Police Say

Upper Macungie Police said the crash occurred on Route 100 at Industrial Boulevard in Breinigsville Thursday.

Upper Macungie Police said two people were injured in a two-car accident Thursday at Route 100 and Industrial Boulevard in Breinigsville. Police said a vehicle driven by Brittany Sperlbaum of Allentown was making a left turn onto Industrial Boulevard from Route 100 when it hit a car driven by Kelly Girke of Trexlertown at approximately 6:30 p.m. The impact of the collision sent Girke's car into a light pole in the median of the intersection, police said. Police said Girke was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries. A passenger in Sperlbaum's car, Kattarina Leonard of Allentown, was also taken to the hospital with back and neck pain, police said. Police said Sperlbaum was not injured.

Three Injured In Crash, Police Say

A two-car accident occurred at 6:48 a.m. Wednesday at Weilers Road and Hamilton Boulevard.

Three people were injured Wednesday morning in a two-car accident at Weilers Road and Hamilton Boulevard, according to Upper Macungie Police. Police said a car driven by Mark Hurt, 37, of Alburtis turned left from Weilers Road onto southbound Hamilton Boulevard and struck the car of Allen Blad, 53, of Breinigsville. Police said both drivers and a 12-year-old female passenger in Blad's car were transported by Cetronia Ambulance to the hospital with unknown injuries.
