'Monster' Winter Storm Possible Next Week, Accuweather Says

An Accuweather forecaster says we could get buried or dodge a bullet depending on how a winter storm develops next week.

This potential "atmospheric bomb" is just something to keep an eye on so far. Major Snowstorm Could Hit Eastern Pa. Next Week

Forecasters are keeping a close eye on computer models that show a big snowstorm could be headed to eastern Pennsylvania around Dec. 19-20

The Eastern Pa. Weather Authority says a potentially "monstrous" storm is showing up on a European weather model, according to the following post on the group's Facebook page: Update on next week's storm potential.... this is as monstrous of a storm you can get just about, as modeled on today's 12z European model run. This would be, if correct, a "KU" storm... or one for the history books. …

Fall Allergies Will Bring Misery to Lehigh Valley

Ragweed and other pollen producers are blooming across the Lehigh Valley and may make fall miserable for anyone with allergies.

Warm weather and enough rain recently have set the stage for ragweed to grow and spread pollen profusely across the East, including the Lehigh Valley. Fall 2012 is expected to be mainly warm and dry across the Northeast, allowing ideal conditions for ragweed pollen to be abundant in the air, according to Accuweather.com. Other prolific fall weeds such as goldenrod along with mold can make allergy sufferers miserable. Here are tips from EverydayHealth.com:

I have to use my Neti pot a few times a week when my allergies get bad. I would also recommend this product I found called Sinus Rejuvenation Oil. It has done wonders! This website has tons of information on sinus education and has great info on seasonal allergy relief. http://www.sinussupport.com/ I hope this helps.   more ›
