A 30-year-old Emmaus man was cited for failure to yield following a two-car accident Tuesday morning at the intersection of Route 100 and Schaefer Run Road, according to Upper Macungie Police. Police said Marc Wells, 30, of Emmaus was traveling north on Route 100 in a 2008 Dodge Ram, when he made a left turn and collided with a 2002 Chrysler Sebring driven by Clarence Burkhard, 66, of Macungie. Police said no injuries were reported.

Upper Macungie Police said a woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation following a two-car accident Friday at the intersection of Hamilton Blvd and Lower Macungie Road. Police said a 1999 Jeep SUV, driven by Bernard Pollock, collided with a 2011 Ford Explorer driven by Melanie Poitevin, at approximately 3 p.m. Friday. Police said Poitevin was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation. Police said Pollock was not injured.
Upper Macungie Police say a two-car crash at the intersection of Mill Road and Ambassador Drive on Friday morning caused significant damage to both vehicles.

Upper Macungie Police said significant front-end damage was sustained by two vehicles in a Friday morning crash at the intersection of Mill Road and Ambassador Drive. Police said the crash happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. Friday, when a 2003 Saturn sedan driven by Michael Kincaid of Lehighton collided with a 2005 Jeep SUV, driven by James Burke of Orefield. Both vehicles were towed from the intersection, police said. Police reported no injuries.

Upper Macungie Police say they cited a Limerick man Thursday for failure to yield in connection with a morning accident at the intersection of Route 222 and Grim Road. Police said David Manninen, 41, of Limerick, was driving a 2013 Ford Fusion north on Route 222 when he made a left turn and collided with a 2003 2500 HD driven by 64-year-old Leonard Woronowicz, of Glen Gardner, N.J. Two Germansville women escaped unharmed following a two-car accident on Route 100 south at Wertman Road in Fogelsville, according to Upper Macungie Police. Police said the 7:30 a.m. accident occurred when a car driven by Angela Shupp, 31, of Germansville, rear-ended a car driven by Debra Remaley, 53, of Germansville. Police said Remaley told them she was stopping for traffic backed up at the Mohr Lane traffic light. Police said Remaley's car suffered minor damage, but Shupp's car was towed from the scene.

A 17-year-old Fogelsville girl was not hurt Tuesday morning after she lost control of her vehicle on Mohr Road near Route 100 and hit a guardrail, according to Upper Macungie Police. Police said the girl lost control of the vehicle after going through a slight curve in the road. Police said the accident took place at 8:55 a.m.

Upper Macungie Police said no one was hurt in a Wednesday afternoon accident at the intersection of Mill Road and Ambassador Drive. Police said that a car driven by Steven Thorne of Catasauqua, traveling on Mill Road, swerved to avoid a car driven by Louise Bugbee of Northampton. Police said Thorne's car struck the curb and caused damage to the right rear tire, making it undriveable. Police said there was no contact between the two vehicles and no one was injured.

Upper Macungie Police say $40 worth of items were reported stolen from an unlocked car at 8943 Breinig Run Circle in Breinigsville on March 28. Police said the items were taken anytime between 6 p.m. March 27 to 6 a.m. March 28. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Upper Macungie Police at 484-661-5911. Accident: Two people escaped injury Tuesday afternoon when a tractor trailer rear-ended a car at the Route 222 bypass and Grange Road. Police said the accident occurred at approximately 2:40 p.m., when a car driven by Joseph Kibler Jr. slowed down for a red light and was struck from behind by a truck driven by Sukhwinde Singh. Police said no injuries were reported and neither vehicle needed towing.

Two people were injured Tuesday morning in a head-on collision at the intersection of Route 100 South and Industrial Boulevard, according to Upper Macungie Police. Police said a car driven by Rachel Hart, 26, was making a left turn from Route 100 onto Industrial Boulevard at approximately 6:30 a.m. when it hit a car driven by Jaime Dolan, 24, head-on. Both were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, police said. A third car, driven by Antoinette Yons, was stopped at a red light at Industrial Boulevard when her car was hit in the front passenger side during the accident, police said. She was not injured.

Two children, ages 8 and 5, were taken to the hospital for evaluations following a two-car accident Friday afternoon at the intersection of the Route 222 bypass and Grim Road, according to Upper Macungie Police. Police said the accident happened at 4:45 p.m. Friday when a car driven by Michael Simmon, 36, of Macungie was traveling northbound on the bypass and turned in front of a car driven by Eleoenai Ortiz Perez, 29, of Baltimore. Police said Simmon's children were passengers in the car and that the five-year-old was not in a child safety seat. Police said no major injuries were apparent, but that both children were taken to the hospital.
