No Tax Increase For Residents in 2012
The 2012 Upper Macungie budget shows no property tax hike or increases in recycling and sewer fees.
Upper Macungie Township residents will not incur a property tax increase under a 2012 budget presented to supervisors Thursday night by township treasurer and tax collector Barry Moyer. "We have enough money to cover our expenses this year, so we don't have a tax increase this year, which is a good thing," Moyer said. Upper Macungie implemented a 1-mill tax hike in 2011, making the total property tax tariff 2-mills, where it will remain next year. The township's total 2012 budget is $16,536,000, up from $14,775,200 last year.
