"Exhausting" and "annoying" are among the most popular words being used to describe the 2012 presidential campaign, according to a recent Pew Research Center poll. The poll shows both Republicans and Democrats agree on their perception that the election is important, but that the campaigns so far have been dull and negative. It's not the first time people are saying presidential campaigns drag on too long. "The public has long expressed the view that presidential campaigns are too long. In surveys conducted over the past three campaigns, asked at different stages in race, no fewer than 50% have said campaigns were too long," according to the Pew Research Center. Do you agree? By G. Terry Madonna & Michael L.Young The New York Times calls Pennsylvania a “toss up state.” Others have tagged it a “battleground state” and even a “swing state.” Electoral labels aside, Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes comprise the second largest prize among the competitive states. Not surprisingly, both presidential campaigns seem to be taking the state seriously despite Barack Obama’s approximate 8-point lead and a string of Democratic victories stretching back to 1988. But if the Keystone State is in play now, it may not be for long once an impending Supreme Court decision is handed down. Shortly, the U.S. Supreme Court is expected to announce whether the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obama Care) passes constitutional …

Pennsylvania's swing-state status may be in jeopardy as GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney seems to place little importance on winning votes here, according to a PoliticsPa report. Voters here have elected a Republican governor and senator - but not a GOP president since George H.W. Bush in 1988. A recent poll has moved Pennsylvania from the toss-up category to "lean Dem." Romney made a drive-by campaign stop in the Lehigh Valley last year. What do you think? Should Romney spend more time and money campaigning in the Keystone State? Biden will do just fine, just as he did against Palin. Ryan is going to have big problems just being a hypocrite. All for stimulus packages when Bush was President, and totally against them under President Obama. Just one of his problems. While VP debates don't mean much in the end, it's the Presidential debates that matter. I personally can not wait to see Obama mop the floor with Romney.   more ›
