Janice A. Shovelin, 58, of Allentown, died Monday, March 18, 2013.

Janice A. Shovelin, 58, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2013 at home. She was the wife of Frank Shovelin. They were married 31 years. Born in Allentown on March 28, 1954, she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Steirer) Hoderman. Jan was a 1972 graduate of Dieruff High School. She also graduated from Lehigh County Community College in 1982 with a degree in Physical Therapy. Prior to attending LCCC, Jan worked for Mack Trucks in the accounting department. After graduating from LCCC, she worked at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital in Allentown for 24 years prior to becoming ill. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Ferrel M. George, 96, of Schnecksville, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the home of his daughter. He was the husband of 75 years to the late Gertrude I. George. Ferrel was the son of the late Morris S. and Katie Estella (Sterner) George. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 60 years. He performed many volunteer duties at the church. Frank Joseph Riemer, 83, of Whitehall, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 27, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital.  He was the husband of Theresa (Franz) Riemer, to whom he was married over 59 years.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Studney) Riemer. Arya Singh, 20, of Allentown, died unexpectedly on Friday, 2/8/13 in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Laubscher, 82, of Breinigsville, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Hospice Unit of the Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center.  He was the husband of Mary (Savignano) Laubscher.  Born in Salem, Ohio, and later growing up in Monaca, PA, he was the son of the late Louis J. and Helen (Zindren) Laubscher. Before retiring in 1992, he worked for Ford Motor Company and also as a taxi driver for New York City.  He was an Army veteran serving in occupied Japan and during the Korean War. William L. Damiano, 77, founder of Premise Maid Candies in Breinigsville died Saturday in the Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown after battling Parkinson’s Disease for 29 years. He was the husband of Frances (Cannariato) Damiano. They were married 54 years in October. Born in Nesquehoning, he was a son of the late Anthony and Carmella (Cardinale) Damiano.
