Mae was my great aunt and I'll miss her, as I miss Uncle Warren. I remember vividly going to theirRead More house. Joking around with Uncle Warren, playing outside in the field behind the house and Aunt Mae cooking for us all. And then.......looking at all the antiques they collected, which were so beautifully displayed throughout the house and in the basement. Neither ever had a cross word to say and were always accommodating and hospitable. I have a set of brass Abraham Lincoln bookends, which they gave my wife and me as a wedding gift 30 years ago. I think of them every time I look at that gift. Rest in peace, Aunt Mae. You will be missed.

Excuse me Parkland Mom, who do you think you are speaking like that. This is an obituary to honor aRead More beloved educator and friend. To make such an ignorant, rude, and disrespectful comment shows that you clearly have no respect for Mr. Ritter. I was one of his students and your comment infuriated me. You are callous and insolent. Please have the courtesy to keep awful comments like that to yourself.

A point of clarification, the Parkland Teachers Union hosted the marrow donor drive with bothRead More teacher & student help hoping to find a match for the venerated, Mr. Ritter. It was unsuccessful in finding him a match, but there were other options. I am disheartened to see a comment so callous about a man so great.
