The annual community Christmas tree lighting will take place at 6 Sunday at Fogelsville's Church Street Park.
Members of St. John's Lutheran Church and St. John's United Church of Christ are hosting. Fogelsville Fire Company volunteers will join in the festivities.
After the caroling, cookies and hot chocolate will be served at St. John's UCC.

- Orefield Middle School Orchestra winter concert is 7 p.m. Friday at the high school auditorium.
- Parkland Cheerleading Booster Club will host a Breakfast with Santa, in the high school cafeteria. There will be two seatings, at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tickets are $8 per person and include an unlimited pancake breakfast with one round of sausage, juice, milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and a photo opportunity with Santa. - There will be a book signing and poetry reading at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Parkland Community Library. Author Barbara Crooker's new book Gold focuses a life-altering experience: losing one's mother. Books will be available for purchase.
