Psychic Medium Fundraiser and Indoor Volleyball Top Week Ahead

Bingo in Fogelsville on Wednesday, Zumba in Trexlertown on Friday and PTO Movie Night Friday at Jaindl Elementary School are just some of the week's highlights.

A bevy of activity is planned in and around Upper Macungie Township for this first full week of fall, so here's what you need to know:

  • The Parkland Community Library will hold a fund-raising event featuring psychic medium Lauri Moore on Friday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Lone Lane Park Pavilion, located at Schantz Road and Lone Lane between the Windermere and Kraft developments and behind Station 56. Tickets are $12 per person donation to benefit the library. For tickets please call 610-398-1361. Most recently, Lauri was a featured Psychic Medium in three episodes of the premiere season of Animal Planet’s new paranormal series “The Haunted." She is a frequent guest on the Lehigh Valley’s “The Hawk Morning Show,” and gives numerous lectures and private readings. 
  • Indoor recreational volleyball returns to Fogelsville Elementary School Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.  The program, sponsored by Upper Macungie Township, will run each Tuesday through March 25 with the exceptions of Dec. 10, Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.   • The Fogelsville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary will host bingo at the firehouse, located at 7850 Lime Street in Fogelsville, on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the kitchen begins serving food at 5:45 p.m. For more information, call 610-395-5479.
  • St. Paul's UCC Church in Trexlertown, located at 1249 Trexlertown Road in Trexlertown, will  host a Zumba class Friday at 9:30 a.m.
  • Hearing screenings will take place Monday at Fogelsville Elementary School and Thursday at Jaindl Elementary School.
  • Jaindl Elementary School's PTO Movie Night will take place Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the school. 
  • The Parkland School Board will meet Tuesday at the district's headquarters, located at 1210 Springhouse Road in South Whitehall.
  • The Parkland varsity football team will host Whitehall in a Lehigh Valley Conference game Friday night at 7 p.m. It's also 11th grade "Shirt off Your Back Night."
