Movies-in-the Park, Ranch Camp Top Week Ahead

Parkland Community Library holds its monthly night at the movies Tuesday and Summer volleyball continues on Sunday nights at Upper Macungie Park on Route 100.

The popular Movies-in-the-Park series continues this Friday with a screening of "Here Comes the Boom," at Grange Park at dusk. The movie is free. Bring your own lawn chair and blanket.

Ranch Camp 2013 is here for this week -- July 8 through 12 -- and again from  Aug. 5 through 9 at The Gress Mountain Ranch, located at 3264 Highland Road in Orefield. 

It's a summer day camp on a a real working ranch with over 50 animals, large and small and exotic animals. The cost is $200 per child for the entire week. E-mail gressranch@gmail.com or call 610-398-2122. 

The Parkland Community Library will holds its monthly night at the movies on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Under its licensing agreement, the name of movie cannot be divulged in advance. Call 610-398-1361 for more information.

Tennis clinics at Ricky Park begin Tuesday. Registration forms are available at www.uppermac.org

Summer volleyball continues on Sunday nights at Upper Macungie Park on Route 100 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Players of all skill levels are invited.

There are no Upper Macungie governmental meetings scheduled this week.
