A look at what's happening this week in Upper Macungie.
Hello everyone. We're at the start of a new week, so let's see what the next few days have in store for us.
1. Upper Macungie's Board of Supervisors holds its first meeting of the year Monday at 7 p.m. It's new Supervisor Jim Brunell's first meeting.
2. Local author Thomas K. Tate will hold a talk and book signing for his new biography of Civil War General Edwin Vose Sumner Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Parkland Community Library.
3. Also at the library: the monthly Night at the Movies, Wednesday starting at 7 p.m. Call or visit the library to find out what's been shown.
4. Parkland High School will host a meeting for parents of the class of 2018 Thursday at 7 p.m. at the high school auditorium. Another meeting, for parents of the classes of 2015, 2016 and 2017, is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the auditorium.
5. The weather will be all over the place this week: rainy on Monday, very cold Tuesday, and then warming up (if you can call 32 degrees warm) Wednesday and Thursday.
