Scouts and Veterans Observe Memorial Day Together

Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts turned out at St, John's U.C.C in Fogelsville today to observe Memorial Day.

Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts joined veterans from the Breinigsville V.F.W. today at St John's U.C.C. in Fogelsville to honor Memorial Day.

Rev. Joanne Marchetto led the service at 10 a.m. that included displaying the flag, laying of a wreathe at the Civil War Soldiers Memorial, an Honor Guard salute and a bugler, Duncan Mac Queen of Delta Company, 112, who played Taps.

Members of the Breinigsville V.F.W. Post 8282 included Commander Clark Hamm, Senior Vice Commander Ralph Conrad, Junior Vice Commander Joe Kish, Chaplain William Yenser, Servicemen Bob Derr and Russell Strouse, plus the Honor Guard Bob Bockheimer, Leon Meitzler, Bob Nickisher, Pete Oswald and Al Groller.

Kathy Kuhns, president of the Ladies Auxiliary was also present.

Representatives from Cub Scout Pack 72, Boy Scout Troop 72, Girl Scout Troop 6401 and Girl Scout Troop 6932 were also present, including: Robert Clapham, Michael Olenick, Brian Avila, Dylan Heckendorn, Ryan Stevens, Ben Broekhuis, Sarah Clapham, Amanda Clapham, Morgan Stay, Sean Cardinale, Gabriel Stay, Max Broekhuis and Coleman Link.
