Glasbern Inn Hosts Wounded Soldier's Wedding

The Glasbern Inn in Fogelsville hosts a wedding for a soldier wounded in Afghanistan.

A Fogelsville hotel hosted a wedding Sunday for a wounded Afghanistan veteran who had most of the cost covered by donations, according a report by wfmz.com.

John Hanczaryk married his fiancee, Randi, at the Glasbern Inn in Fogelsville Sunday in a ceremony where the venue was donated. Hanczaryk was critically wounded in Afghanistan three years ago, the report said, and most of the cost Sunday's wedding was donated.

The Glasbern Inn is a romantic getaway located on a working 100-acre farm. The Glasbern offers a variety of suites and cottages, many of which boast in-room hot tubs and fireplaces, a workout facility and spa services.

Its chef, Nate Weida, won the "Taste of Elegance" contest at Northampton Community College last year.

The business, located at 2141 Packhouse Road in Fogelsville, is owned and operated by Al Granger.

This Fogelsville hotel is not only a deluxe retreat, it’s also a foodie's paradise, having some of the freshest and tastiest farm-to-table cuisine around.

The inn’s oldest buildings date back to 1870 and that old world charm is still present, although extensive renovations have been made throughout the years to accommodate modern desires.
