Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery - Cooking Contest at the Great Allentown Fair
Put your culinary creativity to the test by participating the the Clover Hill Cooking with Wine - Lasagna Contest at the Great Allentown Fair. Hurry registration deadline is fast approaching.
Are you looking for a good challenge? Maybe you’re creative around the kitchen? Do you like food and wine . . . particularly Clover Hill wines? Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery is sponsoring a “Cooking with Wine - Lasagna” Contest at the Great Allentown Fair at 17th and Chew Streets in Allentown in the Agri~Plex Building. You are also welcome to join us at the fair for the live judging on Friday, August 30th at 7pm.
There are very few rules to the contest other than to have fun as you create an original lasagna recipe including any Clover Hill wine as an ingredient to enrich your newly crafted lasagna. You get to pick the type of lasagna, whether it meat, meatless or vegetable lasagna. All recipes become the property of Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery and we will be sure to share your recipe with other customers. Plus the Clover Hill label and typed recipe must accompany your dish. That’s it - it’s that simple!
The lasagna dishes will be judged on taste appeal (60%), appearance (20%) and originality of the recipe (20%). Prizes will be awarded to the first place winner as a $200 Clover Hill gift card, second place a $125 Clover Hill gift card and third place a $75 Clover Hill gift card. Any of those gift cards will buy a lot of wine!

To purchase your wine to include in your recipe you can find a Clover Hill wine store in the Allentown Fairgrounds Farmer’s Market or visit us at the winery in Breinigsville, or the Boscovs Farmer’s Market in Reading and at our Vineyard in Robesonia. Many Clover Hill wines can also be found in the Pennsylvania Wine & Spirits Stores. If you choose to visit us at the Allentown Fairgrounds Farmer’s Market to sample and purchase your wine it will be very convenient to shop for fresh lasagna ingredients with the other merchants as well.
