Traveling to Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery and the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail

Clover Hill Vineyards and Winery offer tips for planning your visit to Clover Hill or any of the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail wineries.

The beautiful weather has finally arrived which translates to a busy time at the wineries of the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail.  While there are only 8 wineries on the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail it is feasible to visit all eight wineries in one day . . . but I do not recommend this.  With the ever growing selections of wines and new vintage releases, the charming gift shops and awe-inspiring views it will be more enjoyable and memorable to stretch your visit over the course of two or three days.  Each winery offers unique experiences and spectacular beauty so be sure to slow down and take advantage of these opportunities and experiences.  It is always a smart decision to have a designated driver as this is the most comfortable and safe way to enjoy your winery visits.

At Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery we are very proud of our award winning wines but we are equally proud of the warmth of hospitality we offer our guests.  In our tasting room please do not be shy to ask us questions.  Our staff is very knowledgeable and happy to share Clover Hill’s history, offer food pairing ideas and share our wine knowledge.  Clover Hill typically has a variety of cheeses, meat sticks and pretzels to purchase and enjoy on our scenic patio with wine by the glass.  Clover Hill has a busy schedule of events coming up over the next few months which include vineyard and winery tours, an antique car classic, and more.  Clover Hill’s event schedule is always growing, be sure to follow our events through our e-letter, facebook; https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Clover-Hill-Vineyards-Winery/94119020954?fref=ts , or our website:  http://www.cloverhillwinery.com/Public%20Events_CS3.htm .

Another suggestion is as your travels take you from winery to winery offering you beautiful scenic drives keep your eye peeled for some eateries in the area.  Some of our favorites are Spectator’s Bar and Grille (check out their menu through this link www.spectatorsbarandgrille.com ) or The Bower’s Hotel (view their options at http://www.bowershotel.com).  At either of these restaurants you can enjoy a glass of Clover Hill wine with your meal.

Please keep in mind each of the eight wineries are family owned and operated businesses and each has their own set of house rules, regarding tasting practices, pets, availability of patio or other gathering spaces, food/snack offerings and wine availability by the glass or bottle.  Our house rules here at Clover Hill can be viewed at http://www.cloverhillwinery.com/HouseRules13.pdf

While the weekends are fun, but busy times, to visit our tasting room if you are looking for a more intimate experience I recommend visiting during week days.  Clover Hill is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 5:30pm and on a Sunday 12 to 5pm.  Often during a week day you can have the sole attention of your server which is a great time to fire off your questions from vine to bottle.  Hope to see you at the winery soon.
