Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery Offers Ideas to Chase Your Winter Blues

Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery offers suggestions of things to do to prevent those winter blues from attacking you and keeping you pent up in your home until Spring arrives.

We are getting to that time of year when we become tired of the cold, dark, dreary days of winter.  We don’t want to clean one more room, bake one more brownie, or watch another movie from our couch.  We start to go stir crazy looking for things to do to get us out of the house.  Well I know there is always fun to be had when you involve wine; especially when you combine wine with a charity event or wine and chocolates or a sale on wine.

Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery will be participating in a fundraising event for Angel 34 Foundation, a Nazareth-based charity that raises money to provide support and services for children battling cancer.  Angel 34 will be holding their 3rd Annual Wine and Chocolate Event on Sunday, January 27th, 1-4:30pm at St. Joseph the Worker, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield.  There will be many chocolatiers from all over the Lehigh Valley tempting your taste-buds with their best chocolates, whether it be cupcakes, cakes, or candies, then we get to vote on who we feel offered the best chocolate.  There will be live music and Chef Nathan Grube will offer a cooking demonstration.  All the while Clover Hill Vineyards and Winery will be on site offering free wine tasting and selling wine by the glass or bottle.  The cost of the ticket is $25 per person, which includes a souvenir wine glass.  Tickets can be purchased at www.angel34.org , at Clover Hill Winery in Breinigsville, Missing Piece in Nazareth or by calling 610-533-1923.  If tickets are still available on the day of the event the cost at the door will be $34 per person.  Wine, candy, cake, music, cooking demonstration, all for a wonderful charity, who could ask for a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?

Looking for more to do?  Clover Hill will be holding their Wine and Chocolate event on Saturday, February 16th, from 12-5pm.  Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery, in Breinigsville, will be pairing heavenly chocolates with stellar wines in celebration of Valentine’s Day.  They have invited master chocolatier, Moussey Moose Chocolates, to sample their artisan chocolates with premium Clover Hill wines.  They will pair a Moussey Moose Ravishing Raspberry Bonbon with Clover Hill’s big and bold Cabernet Sauvignon and a Luscious Lemon Bonbon, in the shape of a heart (how perfect), with their sweet Vignoles.  Moussey Moose Chocolates is a gourmet chocolatier, right in our own back yard, 315 W. Broad, Quakertown (www.mousseymoosechocolates.com).  Moussey Moose Chocolates will be on site with gift boxes of their chocolates.

If you need even more to do here’s a thought.  Clover Hill will be holding their Snowy 6 Pack Sale on February 7 through February 10, 2013 at all of their locations.  If you purchase 6 bottles of wine you will receive a 10% discount but if you purchase 12 or more bottles you will receive a 20% savings.  Now you have saved a lot of money on the wine, so you could buy a few snacks, invite some friends to your home, and have a good time with good friends and good wine.  That is sure to chase the cold days of winter straight away!

Toast:  To a winter spent with loving family, good friends, and wonderful wine to keep you warm.  Spring is just around the corner!
