The Parkland High School baseball team is preparing for its playoff push with six games remaining in the regular season.
The Trojans sport a 12-2 overall record and an 8-1 mark in Lehigh Valley Conference play. They trail Whitehall High School by one game in the loss column for first place in the LVC North division.
Parkland finishes its season May 9 with a home game against Whitehall that will likely determine if the Trojans can garner at least a share of the LVC North crown.
Coach Tony Galucy says the team is in the midst of 10 games in 12 days and credits his young pitching staff as the strength of the team.
Galucy noted the offense is coming around, especially after scoring 12 runs this week against Allentown Central Catholic.
LVC conference games against Nazareth, Easton, Northampton, Emmaus and Whitehall close out the season, prior to the LVC and District 11 tournaments.
