Parkland Baseball Advances to District 11 4A Final

The Parkland High School baseball team defeated Pocono Mountain East, 3-0, on Saturday in the District 11 semifinal game. The Trojans will face Whitehall on Wednesday at Coca-Cola Park in the D-11 final.

The Parkland High School baseball team will get another crack at rival Whitehall High School after all.

Parkland, which lost to Whitehall in this year's Lehigh Valley Conference final, defeated Pocono Mountain East, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at Easton's Hackett Park in the District 11 4A semifinals, according to the District 11 website.

The District 11 4A final will be played Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown. Whitehall, the Lehigh Valley Conference champion, is the 4A tournament's top seed.

Pitchers Gabe Mosser and Connor Higgins combined on a six-hit shutout for the second-seeded Trojans, according to a report in The Morning Call. The report said Jordan Jones drove in two runs with a second inning single and Zach Merkle added a solo home run in the fifth inning.
