St. Joseph Knights Hold Basketball Free Throw Competition

St. Joseph the Worker Knights of Columbus Council 10921 held the competition in January for youngsters aged 10-14.

St. Joseph the Worker Knights of Columbus Council 10921 recently held a local basketball Free Throw competition for boys and girls aged 10 to 14 at St. Joseph the Worker School in Orefield. 

The Council and the Bethlehem Catholic High School Squires coordinated 85 youngsters in the competition. 

The school gym was filled with the spirit of competition and partnership between the Squires, the Knights, and the school as students cheered on their schoolmates.

The International Free Throw Championship is sponsored annually by the Knights of Columbus with winners progressing through local, district, and state level competition. The Knights of Columbus is an international Catholic service organization with more than 1.8 million members in more than 14,000 local councils.

The district level competition will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, at St. Joseph the Worker gym.
