Parkland School Lunches Increase 10 Cents

Parkland School District lunch prices will increase by 10 cents at the elementary and secondary schools in the 2013-2014 school year.

The Parkland School Board approved a 10-cent price increase on school lunches at the elementary and secondary schools in the 2013-2014 school year.

The increase is the result of a federal mandate, the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kid Act of 2010.

The following is a list of the new prices:

Elementary student lunches: $2.25
Secondary student lunches: $2.50
Adult lunches: $3.50
Breakfast: $1.10
Reduced lunch: 40 cents
Reduced breakfast: 30 cents
Student and adult milk: 50 cents
