Parkland Re-elects Bartlett as President, Marcus is New Vice President

During Parkland School Board's reorganization meeting, directors re-elect Jayne Bartlett as president; Roberta Marcus will be the new vice president.

Showing their confidence in Jayne Bartlett's leadership skills, Parkland School Board directors voted unanimously to re-elect Bartlett for another term as president.

Vice President Robert Cohen stepped down, and Roberta Marcus, who recently received the Timothy M. Allwein Advocacy Award from the Pennsylvania School Boards Association, was elected vice president.

Mark Hanichak was the only director who didn't vote for Marcus. Having nominated himself for the position, he voted for himself.

"Thanks to Rob Cohen for his service as vice president. He provided the best and most wise advice," Bartlett said. "We are here for our students so let's get to work for them because they are counting on us."

Bartlett resides in Upper Macungie, and Marcus resides in South Whitehall.
