Parkland OKs 3 Hires, 2 Retirements

The Parkland School Board also changed the status of seven employees at Tuesday night's meeting.

The Parkland School Board approved the following personnel moves at its Tuesday night meeting:

Retirements:

  • Mary Supp, food service employee, is retiring after 33 years of service, effective June 12.
  • Edwin C. Kichline, full-day school bus driver, is retiring after 10.5 years of service, effective June 14.

  • , effective date to be determined, at an annual salary of $95,000, prorated, to replace Jennifer Wood, who resigned. Her position was restructured.
  • Melissa M. Lynn, of Lenhartsville, as administrative assistant II in Student Services, effective April 11, at an annual salary of $35,843, prorated, to replace Robin Jensen, who resigned.
  • Nancy Bergman, of Allentown, as a DRP/title 1 assistant at Cetronia Elementary School, effective March 27,  at an hourly rate of $16.50, due to additional Title 1 funding.

Change of Status:

  • Andrew M. Kravelick, from technology paraprofessional to network computer technician, effective date to be determined, at an annual salary of $46,043, prorated, due to position restructuring.
  • Marie Rappa, from playground aide to general food service employee at Parkway Manor Elementary School, effective March 11, at an hourly rate of $14.28, replacing Donna White, who moved to another assignment.
  • Marie T. Baver, from substitute cafeteria employee to general food service employee at Parkland High School, effective March 11, at an hourly rate of $14.28, replacing Melody Gefroh, who moved to another assignment.
  • Diane Toomey, from substitute cafeteria employee to general food service employee at Parkland High School, effective March 11, at an hourly rate of $14.28, replacing Pam Kilpatrick, who moved to another assignment.
  • Carolann Hall, from substitute school vehicle driver to full-day school bus driver, effective March 21, at the probationary daily rate of $90.95, replacing Marian May, who retired.
  • Carol Long, substitute school bus driver to full-day school bus driver, effective March 14, at the probationary daily rate of $90.95, replacing Valerie Bernhardt, who resigned.
  • Jose Negron, from substitute school bus driver to full-day school bus driver, effective March 14, at a daily rate of $106.14, replacing Dale Miller who retired.
