Parkland High School Assistant Principal Retiring

The Parkland School Board accepted the resignation of Jane H. Barthold, who spent 34 years in the school district.

The Parkland School Board accepted the resignation of Jane H. Barthold Tuesday night after serving in the school district for 34 years. She was currently an assistant principal at Parkland High School.

In other personnel matters, the board approved:

  • Terri M. Plattner, math teacher at Parkland High School, who requested a childrearing leave of absence for the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year.
  • Maria Gougoustamos, chemistry teacher at Parkland High School, who requested an extension of her childrearing leave of absence through the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year.

  • Grant A. Gregory, head cook at Springhouse Middle School, from March 28, 2013, and not to exceed 12 weeks.
  • Colleen M. Holtzman-Jones, teaching assistant at Fogelsville Elementary School, from April 12, 2013, through the end of the 2012-2013 school year.
  • Jennifer E. Gerhart, math teacher at Parkland High School, from May 3, 2013, through the end of the 2012-2013 school year.

Change of Status:

  • Kristi Szabo, from part-time to full-time German teacher at Parkland High School, effective Aug. 27, at an annual salary of $50,321, to replace Patricia Diamond, who will be retiring.

  • Robin K. Jensen, Schnecksville, as a part-time clerical assistant at Cetronia Elementary School, effective April 5, at an hourly rate of $15.34, replacing Sarah Lemak, who resigned.
