Parkland Committee Approves Two Student Trips

Indoor Percussion and Color Guard plans trip in May 2012, and Spanish students plan to go to Spain in June 2013.

A committee of the Parkland School Board has approved two overnight trip requests from students.

The Parkland High School  wants to travel to Wildwood, N.J., for an annual competition from May 2-6, 2012.

A group of  Spanish students wants to travel to Spain from June 20-29, 2013.

Superintendent Richard Sniscak brought the trips to the attention of the school board’s Education and Athletics Committee on Tuesday.

The school district will provide transportation for the Indoor Precision and Color Guard. Students will raise money to cover the remainder of their expenses.

The Spanish students will be raising money to cover all of their expenses.
