Parkland Board Bids Farewell to Student Representative
Parkland School Board thanks its student representative, Brooke Troutman, and wishes her well at Northwestern University.
To say school board meetings can be dry is a little like saying Michael Jordan was a decent basketball player -- there's understatement involved.
But Parkland High senior Brooke Troutman managed to liven up the district's school board meetings with her regular reports of what was going on in each of the district's 11 schools.
On Tuesday, Brooke gave her last report as the board's student representative and will be heading to Northwestern University in Chicago in the fall. Board members and Superintendent Richard Sniscak said she did a terrific job and will be very much missed.
