A star of Broadway, television and film, Chenoweth is currently featured in the film “Hit and Run,” written by Dax Shepard and co-starring Kristen Bell. In Spring 2013, she will be seen in the film “Family Weekend,” which centers on a disgruntled teenager's attempts to get attention from her dysfunctional family.

On Broadway, Chenoweth is remembered for her show-stealing performance in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown and originated the role of Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked. Chenoweth was most recently seen on Broadway as Fran Kubelik in the revival of Promises, Promises starring alongside Sean Hayes.

On TV she starred in Pushing Daisies, The West Wing, GCB and has appeared on Glee, Frasier and Ugly Betty. On screen, Chenoweth has appeared in “Deck the Halls” with Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick, “Bewitched” with Nicole Kidman and “The Pink Panther” with Steve Martin.

A veteran of the concert scene, Chenoweth had sold-out concerts at Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Opera House. Her numerous collaborations include The New York Philharmonic, Boston Pops, National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera’s 50th Anniversary Gala with Placido Domingo, among others.

Nothing in the Zoellner news release or on McPhee’s Website or Twitter page indicated what her health issue might be. McPhee became a star when she finished as runner-up in the fifth season of "American Idol" and is currently the star of the NBC television series “Smash.”
