Kris Siessmayer Named Parkland Education Foundation Executive Director
Siessmayer has been hired to grow the organization from its current state as well as to start an Alumni Association and establish an annual giving campaign.
The Parkland School District Education Foundation Board of Directors appointed Kris Siessmayer as its first Executive Director earlier this month.
Siessmayer is a graduate of the Parkland School District who studied Communications and English at the University of Pennsylvania.
She has been hired to grow the organization from its current state as well as to start an Alumni Association and establish an annual giving campaign.

She began her career in fundraising as a Development Associate at the Rodale Institute and was promoted to a senior Development Officer and Director of Development while she was there.
She then moved over to Rodale’s for-profit book publishing division as an Associate Marketing Manager before she was promoted to Product Marketing Director. Kris then co-founded Slipstream Group, LLC, a market research consulting firm specializing in translating data into business opportunities.

“Kris’s background, skills and overall personality will complement the Parkland Foundation very well. She is extremely knowledgeable and possesses strong communication skills. We look forward to her leadership in the coming year as we strive to grow the Foundation beyond $200,000 in annual gifts,” said Buddy Lesavoy, president of the Parkland Education Foundation.
The nonprofit created to raise money to supplement educational opportunities for students in the Parkland School District raised about $100,000 this year and gave grants of about $70,000.
