Harrison Bailey is Acting Principal at Parkland High School

Harrison Bailey III will fill in for Howard Lessel, who is on medical leave.

The Parkland School Board, at its meeting Tuesday night, appointed Harrison Bailey III, assistant principal of the high school, to be acting principal.

He will fill in for Principal Howard Lessel, who is on medical leave.

Bailey’s appointment was effective Jan. 23, and he will receive a stipend of $750 a month.

The school board also appointed Theresa M. Stack, an instructional supervisor at the high school, to serve as acting assistant principal.

Bailey is a graduate of Lafayette College with a bachelor's degree in anthropology and sociology.  He also holds a master’s from Lehigh University in Special Education. He received his principal certificate by completing his program at Lehigh University. 

Bailey has been an assistant principal at the high school for 10 years and previously was dean of students. 

Stack is a graduate of Kutztown University with a bachelor's in social studies and a master’s from California University of Pennsylvania. She is an instructional supervisor at the high school. Previously, she was a social studies teacher for 10 years and department chair.

Stack completed her principal internship within the school district and received her principal certificate by completing her program at California University of Pennsylvania.
