Government Shutdown Not Affecting Parkland School District

No class trips or federally-funded grant programs at Parkland have been affected due to the federal government shutdown.

The federal government shutdown is not affecting operations in the Parkland School District, according to spokeswoman Nicole McGalla.

There were no class trips to national parks or other places that needed to be cancelled and no educational programs that are funded by federal grants are being affected.

U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent (R-15) says he will support a "clean" billto reopen the federal government, according to a Huffington Post report.
