Gov. Corbett To Visit LCTI Thursday

Gov. Tom Corbett will announce a grant for Lehigh Career & Technical Institute's Manufacturers Resource Center and then meet with Parkland School District officials.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett will visit Lehigh Career & Technical Institute Thursday to announce and award a grant to the school's Manufacturers Resource Center.

The governor will award the the Skill-Up the Student Pipeline to Support Advanced Manufacturing in Pennsylvania grant to the school's Manufacturers Resource Center at 2 p.m. and make brief remarks, according to a press release from the school.

Later Thursday afternoon, Corbett will meet with administrators and directors of the Parkland School District. That meeting is closed to the public.

Also making remarks at the LCTI news conference will be Sandra Himes, Lehigh Career & Technical Institute Executive Director and president of the Manufacturers Resource Center Board of Directors in addition to Peter Rittenhouse, Nestle Waters-North America Executive Director and Jack Pfunder of the Manufacturers Resource Center.

Prior to awarding the grant, Corbett will tour the LCTI campus.
