Weis Wants a Liquor License for Fogelsville Store

Weis Markets wants to be allowed to sell beer at the store it is opening in Upper Macungie. A public hearing is slated for July 5.

Weis Markets is looking to sell beer at the new that is under construction in Upper Macungie.

Weis applied to the township to be allowed to transfer a liquor license from outside Upper Macungie to be used at the new store in Fogelsville, according to township solicitor Andrew Schantz.

With the license, the store, which is being built at 7801 Glenlivet West Drive in Fogelsville, could sell beer for take-out or in the restaurant area that is part of the plan, Schantz said.
