U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent To Hold Veterans Resource Expo

Benefit options will be explained to returning servicemen Saturday.

U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent will host a Veterans Resource Expo Saturday, July 23 for local veterans and their families at Lehigh Carbon Community College's Community Service Center from 9 a.m to 1 p.m.

The event is designed to educate veterans, particularly those recently returning from service in Iraq or Afghanistan, about benefits available to them through government agencies. These include  education, disability, compensation, and other applicable entitlements.

Representatives from county, state, and federal veterans’ affairs departments will be on hand to explain their agency’s role in the benefit process and describe the various services they provide veterans and their families.
