Upper Macungie To Offer Free Mulch

Township workers at Upper Macungie's yard waste drop off site will be loading mulch for residents on weekends in May for as long as the material lasts.

is offering free mulch to township residents at the township's yard waste drop-off center each weekend in May for as long as the material lasts.

Township workers at the center will be using a loader to load mulch for residents 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays starting Saturday, May 5, according to Public Works Director Scott Faust. 

The center is on Grim Road next to the township Public Works garage at the intersection with Schantz Road. Faust said there is no limit to how much mulch a resident can take but he or she should be able to show proof of residency.
