It's all part of a township initiative to keep residents better informed.

Supervisor Kathy Radar said the new website is more user friendly, and the township is now able to keep it more up-to-date.

Launched in September, it provides residents with a wealth of information, including a "What's New" page and meeting agendas.

The videos of the parks that can be found there -- including of Apple Park and Independent Park -- are the work of Recreation and Events Coordinator Valerie Brosky, who wanted to give the township's parks better exposure.

"It's going to be a very progressive website," she said.

In her job over the past year, Brosky would get calls from residents and realized, "People don't know about the parks." So she wanted to show them what the township had to offer. "I'm very visual," she said.

She took photos, set up a PowerPoint, added music and put up the YouTube videos on the following parks:

Apple Park
Breinigsville Park
Independent Park
Lone Lane Park
Ricky Park
Grange Park

So far, hits total more than 300.

"They were really fun to make," Brosky said of the YouTube videos.

Supervisors Chair Ed Earley helped with the photos.

Brosky is also creating Flipbook photos on the parks.
